Our Own Story
Vasula Farmid OÜ is a family-owned business, established in 1992.
Behind every successful Estonian company is a strong family, a professional team with a veterinary background, and good cooperation.
The company is engaged in pig breeding, farming, meat processing, and the sale of meat products.
The pigs at Vasula Farms live in a special way – on straw bedding. The pigs use straw for exploring, playing, eating, hiding, and nest-building.
This is the best way to raise pigs, as it supports gut health, reduces stress, and helps prevent stress-related behavioral disorders.
Throughout their conscious lives, the pigs can live happily and naturally, as they are meant to.
How was Ottomar born?
The name Ottomar comes from a former family dog who was very brave and deeply loved by everyone. To carry on his name in our hearts, we decided to make Ottomar the name of our brand.
Welcoming a new pet into the family
One day, Jõmmu, a Norwegian Elkhound – the king of the forests and a friend to the heart – joined our family.
Jõmmu is not just a dog; he makes your eyes light up. He is a true hunting dog with a primal fire inside, something rarely seen in modern dogs.
His dark eyes keenly follow forest trails, ears alert, nose to the ground – every scent, every rustle in the grass calls him to action.
Scientifically, the Norwegian Elkhound is the breed genetically closest to the Norwegian wolf. His instincts are as sharp as those of his ancestors.
At home, Jõmmu is loyal and balanced. He is fed clean, natural raw food. And as a reward – 100% natural treats from Ottomar.

Our goal at Vasula Farms is to honor the pig from nose to tail.
To make full use of everything a home-raised Estonian pig can offer, we decided to start producing dried products (treats) for dogs and cats as well.
The product line for pets is lovingly created for those who appreciate healthy and natural chew treats – whether during training or relaxation.

We are happy to raise our animals ourselves, knowing exactly how high the quality of our raw materials is.
We produce everything at Vasula and create our own recipes.
Ottomar treats provide a taste experience for both small and large paws. We heat the products at low temperatures to preserve flavor and nutritional value.
